The main point of my question on this subject is to see how many new names are scared to do a National pageant because they are scared that because they are not a "big name" yet , that they will not succeed in the goal they have set for themself in that pageant! Please be honest and Please do tell us your thoughts because, lets be honest .. who isnt a lil scared somewhere :) I know I am!!!
I think to an exstent that yes nation pageant or gay political, however, I think if you are wanting to big a big star in drag the you have no choice but to do them. That is the way you get your name out there and the way you get the good money for bookings. I think you should step out on your own two feet and not use the foot steps of your mother and make your own. Trinity you have come a long way scince your first show and you have a lot to offer so go and get yum girl!!!!
to whoever wrote the last entry thanks for the support and im not sayN that you think that I am rideN on my mothers shadow.. but do know this... if thats what ur thinkN... I have won pageants and lost pageants with out rideN her shadow.. I have made a name for myself in bham aswell in clubs in the south east on my own.. of course she has helped me a lil ... thats what drag mothers are for .. but dont say I am who i am or will be who i am just because she is my mother .. because it takes more than a name to make u a good entertainer and .. I have talent.. and I have the drive, I have paid my dues, and I have invested myheart/soul/life and of course money into this job and I have made my name and will make it futher on my own! And on that subject.. Jordan and I do not perform alike nore do we dress alike .. nore do we even really do the same kinda music.. and like i said before.. of course there will be a lil jordan in my style because she is my mother and has helped me in her way ... but that goes for every drag mother and her child!
